Soundgarden has revealed the artwork and a trailer for their upcoming studio album, King Animal.
There's a definite winter theme in play, from the look of things. The cover, which the band posted on their Facebook page, features a carefully-arranged mound of bleached animal skulls, set against a snow-covered landscape of bare trees beneath an iridescent sky.
The minute-twenty-five trailer echoes the King Animal album cover. Scored to music from the album, it features camera pans of the same snowy landscape, with images of Chris Cornell and the band shimmering into and out of sight. The trailer resolves itself into the King Animal cover.
The title of the song that plays beneath the trailer isn't known. Last month, Soundgarden posted a 37-second clip of another track, titled "Worse Dreams," that featured footage of the band working in the studio and performing live.
King Animal, Soundgarden's first new studio album since 1996's Down on the Upside, arrives November 13. Here's the track list:

Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Says Arrest Won’t Change Band’s Approach to Playing Live
Lamb of God put on an energetic show, and even with Randy Blythe‘s recent arrest in the Czech Republic on manslaughter charges stemming from an alleged 2010 concert incident, the singer doesn’t feel that it will change his onstage behavior.
The vocalist told Revolver, “What else am I going to do? We don’t have a big production set up or anything. We don’t have purple dragons that fly out of the sky and breathe fire. We’re just a bunch of dudes who get up there and rock and roll.”
The singer goes on to add, “This incident just occurred, it was an unfortunate occurrence. A tragedy. And there’s a lot of details that need to be clarified that came out of this, and hopefully they will in court. But it’s not going to changed the way we do things, because I didn’t do anything wrong. So why should I change what I’m doing? They’re saying I committed a crime of intent, like I went out and hurt someone. That’s total bulls—. Why would I try and hurt fans of my band? Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe was finally released from a Czech prison on Thursday (Aug. 2) after being incarcerated for more than a month. Blythe was being held on manslaughter charges from a 2010 incident in which a fan died from injuries alleged to have been sustained during a Lamb of God concert. The metal community showed great support for Blythe throughout this ordeal and when news of his release spread, several rock and metal acts, from Slash to Disturbed’s Dave Draiman to Lamb of God themselves, took to Twitter to comment or simply report the news to their fans.

Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe Speaks Out in First Jailhouse Interview
As three weeks have passed since the arrest of Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe, there hasn’t been much news from Blythe himself. Lamb of God members, representatives and even Blythe’s wife Cindy have been relaying information from the vocalist to the public, but now Randy Blythe has been given the opportunity to speak in an exclusive jailhouse interview.
Blesk.cz, a Czech news site that has been delivering news about Blythe’s situation since the beginning, was able to sit down with Blythe and finally give him a voice. In the interview, Blythe says he has no recollection of the incident which has landed him in a Czech jail on charges of manslaughter. He also talks about how he has been spending his time in jail, his meeting with his wife and more.

"Blesk.cz: What is your recollection of the incident that happened at club Abaton in Prague during Lamb of God’s concert in May 2010?
Randy: "I don’t know anything about any sort of incident [that allegedly took place during the concert]. I remember very few details about the show, mainly because I have played a lot of concerts [before and after the gig in question]. I just remember that the stage at the club was very small, and we barely managed to fit our equipment on there. Also, apparently there was a security guard there because many people climbed onto the stage — including one small boy, in particular, but I could be mixing up details with what happened at other clubs. Since I don’t wear my glasses while performing, I see little more than blurry outlines. In any case, I did not attack anyone. The only way I could have come into contact with anyone from the audience was if I was protecting myself from [people bumping into me when climbing on the stage]."
Blesk.cz: How are you spending time in custody and with your fellow inmates?
Randy: "I read, I write letters to friends, family, and I also keep a diary. I get along very well with [my Mongol cellmate], and I am even trying to learn a bit of Mongolian. I’m starting to write a book about my time in the Pankrác prison and come up with lyrical ideas."
Blesk.cz: Do you have reservations about cooperating with the Czech police and getting justice in your case?
Randy: "As far as the police is concerned, I believe that they have acted very professionally and followed the principles of good conduct. But in terms of justice, I honestly do not know what to expect because it is different than the U.S. I thought that if I made bail, I would be released."
Blesk.cz: On Wednesday (July 11), you received a visit from your wife. Are you getting a lot of support from your family and your fans?
Randy: "My meeting with my gorgeous wife was beautiful and encouraging. I have received messages and support from family, my friends and my bandmates, who are all missing me, and I cannot wait to see them all."
Blesk.cz: You have made bail, and it appears that you will soon be released from prison. What are your future plans?
Randy: "If I go back to the U.S., I will mow the lawn, spend some time with family and plunge right back into performing, so that I can pay for my legal fees. I have to help my friends earn some money so that we can live decently. If I had to stay in the Czech Republic, I would look at the sights, especially in Prague. I would follow Kafka’s footprints and I would eat dumplings."
Blythe is set to appear in Czech court on Thursday, July 19, to learn whether his posted bail will be accepted or if the Prague Municipal Court will deny Blythe’s release. If his posted bail is rejected, Blythe could potentially spend up to six months in prison.
Lamb Of God are scheduled to play The L.C. Friday August 10th.

It’s been a complete whirlwind of a week since Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic on charges of manslaughter stemming from an alleged incident that resulted in the death of a Czech fan in 2010. Since the arrest, there have been too many developments to count, but now Lamb of God have finally released their first official statement.
Blythe remains in a Czech prison despite posting $200,000 bail. In the past week, several rockers, Lamb of God’s publicist, the band’s manager and various band members have commented on Blythe’s situation, and now the band has released its first official statement regarding the matter. In it, the band explains that the ever-changing nature of Blythe’s predicament has led them to remain relatively quiet until now. Read the group’s full statement below:
"First of all, thanks to everyone who has reached out in support of Randy and each of us in this terrible situation. It’s noted and very much appreciated.
We have been keeping our heads down and not speaking out due to the fluid nature of the situation and the constantly changing information that even we receive daily. Within an hour things can do endless 180s. It’s maddening to try and make heads or tails.
We’re taking the time to speak to you as it has been a significant period of time since this situation began and while nothing is immediately clear to any of us, we are not trying to keep anyone in the dark.
We have reached out and are making use of the resources we have acquired to help our brother, who is still detained in Czech jail.
In the two years since, we were never notified of anything related to this incident.
Randy is our brother and we assure you we are all staying very positive for him, working endlessly behind the scenes to provide any and all assistance possible.
The best we can do is to stay positive and continue to support our friend that we know is innocent.
We know that justice will prevail and we will continue to do our part to support our friend."

Lamb of God Singer Posts Bail But Still In Jail
Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has posted the required $200,000 bail to leave prison in Prague following his arrest on suspicion of manslaughter.
But under Czech law the prosecutor has three days to decide whether he can be released, then the court has a further three days to respond – meaning he’s unlikely to be released until at least Monday. The delay could be lengthened because Thursday and Friday this week are public holidays in the Czech Republic.
If either party refuse to support his release, he could remain in jail and have the bail money returned. Blythe has not been officially charged with any crime.

Lamb Of God Camp Deny Fight In Manslaughter Case
Lamb Of God management sent out word on Friday that they will be issuing an official statement later today, Monday July 2nd, regarding the charges made against singer Randy Blythe but they first wanted to shoot down something that has been widely reported about the case. Here is what they had to say on Friday:
As no formal charges have yet been made and the case is only in the investigation stages, it would be premature to make an official statement filled with false truths or innuendos.
Having said that, management wished to address today one false piece of information that has been included in many of the news stories released so far. Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head.
Again, until the investigation is concluded this weekend, nothing more will be released, but clarity and the facts needed to be addressed on this one reported point which is totally inaccurate.
