10 Years Set New Album Release !!!!!!!!!!!!
10 Years have set a July 31st release date for their new studio album, Minus The Machine on PALEHORSE RECORDS/ILG (WMG).
The first single, "Backlash," is set for release on June 19th via iTunes and will hit radio on the same day.
"We wanted to create an album that has no boundaries," 10 Years frontman Jesse Hasek explains the decision to release Minus The Machine independently. "When you feel like you’re being told to go through motions and jump through hoops, it takes the heart out of it. It’s better to do what comes naturally and then figure out the after-effect."
Foo Fighters Frontman Dave Grohl Directing 'Sound City' Studio Doc
Though fans of rock will know Dave Grohl as the frontman for Foo Fighters and the drummer for Nirvana, the musician has also had a couple big screen roles in the form of Satan in Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny and as Animool, the knock-off Animal from The Moopets in last year's The Muppets. Well, now the musician is going behind the camera for a new documentary taking a look at Sound City, the iconic recording studio in Van Nuys, California where talents like Rage Against the Machine, Fleetwood Mac, Tomy Petty, Neil Young, Nirvana and more recorded some of their most revered music there.
Grohl's history with the studio goes back to the 1991 recording of Nirvana's album Nevermind (you know, the one with the swimming, naked baby) and he told Variety, "Sound City is a film about America's greatest unsung recording studio. Deep in California's sun-burnt San Fernando Valley, it was the birthplace of legend. It was witness to history." It's a bit hyperbolic, but with that list of talent, there's no doubt it has an iconic place in musical history. And for film fans, it's important to note that The Cove and The Tillman Story writer Mark Monroe is behind the documentary, so this should be a top notch film that will include interviews with the artists and producers, focus on the albums recorded there, and "the human element of music in an age of technology and feature performances from many of the artists." After enjoying music-centric documentaries like It Might Get Loud recently, count me in.
Slipknot Demoing For New Album and Plan Mysterious Announcement
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has been teasing fans via Twitter about #HoGaB and the countdown to when the mystery will be solved. With yesterday's tease he also gave fans an update about a forthcoming greatest hits album and that the band is working on new demos. Here is what he wrote:
"11 days till the meaning of HoGaB is revealed. And I believe 7.17.12 is when the Slipknot greatest hits album drops."
Soon after he Tweeted, "To anyone asking, Slipknot is not currently working on an album. Yet. We are putting together demos, but we're not recording. Yet."
Possible Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Possible Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde
Although stating that Pantera should leave the 14 years they had together untouched by a partial reunion, drummer Vinnie Paul recently stated that if the band were to come together once again, Zakk Wylde would be the only man who can fill the spot of "Dimebag" Darrell. "I mean, [Zakk] and my brother were so tight," began Paul. "If [a Pantera reunion] ever were to happen, [Zakk] would be the guy [to step in for Dimebag]." Vinnie Paul isn't the only Pantera member who spoke about the possibility of Zakk Wylde manning guitar duties. Frontman Phil Anselmo, who recently spoke to us about his love for Dimebag, responded to Vinnie Paul's comments during an interview. "That is an interesting question, if anything like that would ever possibly happen," says Anselmo. "Vince and I would have to sit in the same room, hash out whatever differences that we have, and as far as Zakk Wylde goes, I am not too sold on that 'cause we have to hash some crap out too. That day has not come yet, and until that day comes, I can comment further on that, but till then it is just talk. It would be rough not to see Dimebag on stage to my left, I would feel naked."
Evil Clown Will Stalk and Attack Your Child for a Fee
He may look like one, but Dominic Deville is not some escaped lunatic out to hurt your kids. He’s an evil clown for hire who stalks young victims for a week, sending them scary texts, making prank phone calls, stalking them from a distance, and ultimately attacks them with a pie to the face. And yes, he expects to get paid for it. This dude would make me wet my bed. I for one am glad this evil clown works in Lucerne, Switzerland. There’s nothing like an evil clown stalking you and sending you creepy messages. I’d probably be in therapy right now if this service was around while I was growing up.....Wait a minute....I AM IN THERAPY! Anyhoo, here's the link!

Germany's Best Selling Newspaper Just Published A Map Of The Biggest Breasts In The World
German newspaper Bild has put together this great map on which country has the largest breasts. The next time your traveling and are looking for a good time, looks like you need to go to Russia.
German newspaper Bild, which has a daily circulation of 3 million and and only recently decided to stop featuring topless models on its front page, has just published a map that shows which countries have the biggest breasts in the world — under the inspired title "Russian Women Have The Tightest Baskets".
It's not the first hard latest hard hitting article from the German newspaper, after a similar map of penis size by country. However, there may be a flaw in the data — The German blog BILDBlog points out that statistics for Germany seem to be wrong, and that the top category of "greater then D-cup" doesn't really make sense.
In case you were wondering, yes, this is the same newspaper that exposed a huge corruption scandal and forced the German President to resign earlier this year.
Metallica To Tribute Ronnie James Dio and Lars Ulrich Says He'd Love To Play With Noel Gallagher
Metallica To Tribute Ronnie James Dio
Metallica will be appearing on two upcoming tribute albums. One for Deep Purple and one for Ronnie James Dio that will also feature Anthrax, Rob Halford, Lemmy and more.
"We reached out to Wendy Dio [wife of Ronnie] about wanting to be a part of the Dio tribute that's getting put together," says singer James Hetfield. "We're very honoured to be a part of that, and to be a part of a celebration of Ronnie's life and his great contribution, man."
"We're definitely looking to do the record Wendy's putting together for Ronnie," adds drummer Lars Ulrich. "We were asked if we'd contribute to the anniversary of [classic Deep Purple album] 'Machine Head', too – we can't turn that down."
Lars Ulrich Says He'd Love To Play With Noel Gallagher
Metallica's Lars Ulrich says if there's one other artist he'd like to play with it would be Noel Gallagher.
During a recent interview with NME.com, the metal legend says he recently caught a show by Gallagher's new band High Flying Birds and was impressed.
"I'm hard pressed to think of anyone I would rather drum with than Noel Gallagher, [although] I have to say the fellow with the Clockwork Orange get up at the back is doing a stellar job. When I saw them in L.A in December it was fabulous. You know, if . . . the other 37,000 drummers on this planet turn him down, I'll certainly play with him," Ulrich explains.
"I'm certainly not sure he would ever want to pick me, but I'd put together a pretty solid groove thing back there," he said. "I would make the songs bounce to the best of my ability."
